We are seeking experienced Kaimahi Hauora/Support Workers for our clients in the wider Wellington area from the Hutt Valley, Porirua to the Kapiti Coast region.

Role:
As a Kaimahi Hauora/Support Worker, you'll be providing client-centred support to our clients with complex support needs, in their home and in the community.

Range of shifts available: Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings (overnight support)

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to our client enabling them to lead an active and fulfilling life.
• Assist with daily activities, including personal complex cares, mobility support, home management, and rehabilitation activities.
• Create a safe and supportive environment to encourage independence and participation in activities that are meaningful to them.

Essential:

• Has previous experienceas a support worker, preferably supporting people with complex needs and understands the unique challenges and needs of individuals living with life-impacting injury or disability
• Has experience with spinal cord & brain injury clients and has an understanding of Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD)

• Entitlement to work in New Zealand
• Full drivers licence
• Flexibility in working various shifts including weekends
• Clear communication and understanding of the English language
• Empathetic and Compassionate
